This is meant to be a summary of Numbers in the Korean System.
I don't go into much detail about how they work, but if you'd like more information, let me know.
First Things First,
The word for Number (or numbering system) is 수자 or 숫자 [mathematics is 수학] There are 2 numbering systems in Korean, they each have their own usage and can rarely be interchanged. We technically don't have this in English, however, we do have different words to denote the same number and cases when we would use a specific number word and not the other. FOR INSTANCE: 1 is of course One, but it's not natural to say "I was One" when telling a friend you won a competition. You would say "I was First". Likewise, Korean has specific times when it would be unnatural to use the wrong numbering system. let's look at the Pure Korean Number System first.
